There were so many fun events at Dragon Con 2010! Here’s one we caught on video: a special edition of Family Feud, Whedonverse style! The Whedon Fan Track organizers posted a questionnaire online and asked people questions like, “What should no Slayer be without?” “Who were the non-Serenity crew members on Firefly?” and “What was your favorite Dollhouse imprint?” Players then tried to guess the most popular responses, below:
You’ve most likely seen him introducing many of the panels we covered at this year’s Dragon Con–Wayne Hutchinson, Director of the Whedon Fan Track! Wayne has the daunting task of coordinating dozens of panels and even more special guests related to Joss Whedon’s universe, including actors like Morena Baccarin, artists like Georges Jeanty, and editors like Scott Allie!
We had the chance to sit down with him to talk about how he takes on this massive task, what he’d like to do next year, and how you can get involved!
Here we go: the amazingly hilarious six-part Firefly panel at Dragon Con 2010, with stars Morena Baccarin, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, and Summer Glau, with special guest stars (via prank phone calls) Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk. The cast is having an excellent time–they’re clearly friends in real life–as they reminisce about the show and answer fans’ questions. This is a can’t-miss event for Browncoats!
Hey there, true believers! We are at Dragon Con for the very first time–and WOW is it something–and we’re going to get footage and interviews of the coolest events and guests!
Dragon Con was founded in 1987 in Atlanta, Georgia by the Dragon Alliance of Gamers and Role-Players (DAGR), a local sci-fi/gaming group. What do dragons have to do with anything? The group’s founder, Ed Kramer, owned a Dragon Computer that was the host of a local Bulletin Board System known as “The Dragon.”
Today, more than 30,000 attendees are thronging the streets of Atlanta, milling between several host hotels, including the Hyatt Regency and the Westin. However, while its roots are in old-school computers, Dragon Con is now best known for costumes. Amazing costumes. EYE-POPPING costumes. Stay tuned for lots of pics!
However, our main focus will be the in-depth Whedon Track here at Dragon Con! We’ll be covering panels about Buffy, Firefly, Angel, and more–plus get whatever information we can find about Buffy Season 8!
But wait! There’s more! We’ll also be getting interviews with awesome comic book creators. It will all be here on the blog, so bookmark this page and follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates.
